Somebody Told Me
An Audio Theater Experience
Put on your headphones, sit back and make yourself comfortable! Are you ready? Come and follow the adventure of 5 travelers embarking on a dreamy, fun and quirky journey aboard a hot-air balloon.
Somebody Told Me was born out of an international collaboration between five actors who have selected poems and plays to be read via Zoom. It offers an audio voyage through theatrical readings of French and South-African literary masterpieces. It will feature renowned authors such as Antoine de Saint-Exupery, Victor Hugo and Arthur Rimbaud on the French side, Neil Coppen, Penny Youngleson and Malika Lueen Ndlovu on the South African side, but also original creations from the actors themselves.
The audio experience is mainly in English but include a few extracts in French.

In partnership with the Association Française du Cinéma d’Animation, the French Institute is extending the Animation Film Festival abroad for the 10th consecutive year. Watch from October 14 to 31, 2020, animated feature films and short films at home for free!

Dandemutande Virtual Run

Join the Dandemutande Virtual Run, for 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km distances and get a race certificate! Get your race number from the website, run in your own route, take a selfie and upload your race records and completion time.

1. The race begins at 06:00hrs (Please note this time is flexible depending on your time zone or availability)
2. You can use any running app you wish to track yourself but remember to share with us your running records using any application of your choice, this will help us award you with a certificate of completion.
3. After or during the race post a selfie/pic of you on any social media platform with the hashtags #CelebrateLife #DandemutandeVirtualRun
4. Once you have completed your race on the 28th of June, use your race number to login into a race portal link, which we will share via email or on our social media platforms. Thereafter you will upload your race records and completion time to retrieve your race certificate.

“Meet The Talented” is a platform for emerging artists in Zimbabwe, including musicians, poets, painters, dancers, Instrumentalists, among many. One Mobile | One Minute | One Film

The Africa2020 Season supports the Mobile Film Festival edition dedicated to the African continent.  
 
It is an audiovisual competition for which participants must make a one-minute film with a mobile phone.  
The call for films will close on July 7.
